Open online course on atmospheric composition starting on 5 November 2018

Dear colleagues,

EUMETSAT and the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service/ECMWF are running a new, free, “massive” open online course on atmospheric composition starting on Monday 5 November 2018.

This online course runs over five weeks and will give participants the chance to discover the space, air and ground-based technologies used to monitor and forecast air quality around the globe. Participants will also have the chance to explore the critical threats affecting the atmosphere and its composition – and how these affect human health, climate change and ecosystems.

The course, which is funded by the Copernicus Programme of the European Union, also covers policy and international agreements and explains how to access the huge range of free atmospheric datasets that are now available.
