We are pleased to announce the publication of the second issue of the CEOS/CGMS greenhouse gas roadmap. The first issue of the roadmap (2020), was focused on delivering space-based CO2 and CH4 products to support the Global Stocktake (GST) of the Paris Agreement. The new version of the roadmap continues to support that goal and has been updated to accommodate lessons learned from the first Global Stocktake. Its scope has also been expanded to support the rapid evolution of the international greenhouse gas science, inventory, policy and regulatory communities, and reflects the contributions of both public sector and non-governmental (‘new space’) missions.
